  1. The beginning menu:
  2. Upon loading the game, a
  3. player is presented with this
  4. initial menu.  There are five
  5. choices:
  6.  
  7. 1. Journey Onward
  8. This option allows a player
  9. to begin game play.  The
  10. current party is taken from
  11. the last saved position.  It
  12. is important to note that a
  13. party must consist of 4
  14. members in order to journey
  15. onward.
  16.  
  17. 2. Character options:
  18. This option will lead to
  19. another menu consisting of 5
  20. related options.  These
  21. options include character
  22. creation and party mainten-
  23. ance.  To use these options,
  24. a game must be saved within
  25. the wilderness or within one of
  26. the two cities.  For more infor-
  27. mation, refer to f4:Character
  28. menu.

  30. 3. View Beginning:
  31. This option will show the
  32. beginning animation/story.
  33.  
  34. 4. On-line manual:
  35. This is what you are currently
  36. using.
  37.  
  38. 5. exit to dos:
  39. This option will end game play
  40. and return the player to dos.
  41. However, this option does not
  42. save the game.   Any changes
  43. to the party are lost if you
  44. have not previously saved the
  45. game or journeyed onward.
